Our Story
Deus Audio was founded by Swarm, an audio development company with over 25 years of experience in the industry. For several years, we have invested significant time and resources into rigorous R&D, resulting in the development and patenting of many novel technologies that push the boundaries of speaker design and sonic fidelity. You can explore our innovations on our patents page. Our team has contributed to the success of elite products by mastering every element of loudspeaker design, from custom motor structures and advanced suspension systems to proprietary cone fabrication, tuned enclosures, and precision electronics.
Over the years, we’ve learned exactly what it takes to produce the world’s best audio — and how often that vision is limited by cost. Deus was born from the desire to eliminate compromise and deliver the absolute peak of what’s possible in audio, no matter the expense.
Design Ethos
At the core of Deus Audio lies a design ethos relentlessly grounded in scientific principles. Every product is born from state-of-the-art modeling and the latest advancements in audio engineering, driven by a singular focus: to extract every last bit of performance potential from each component and system element. We fundamentally reject the notion of the "Swiss Army Knife" product; features are never arbitrarily added. Instead, each device is meticulously engineered to perform its designated task with unparalleled excellence. This philosophy dictates our architectural choices, such as the crucial separation of amplifiers from subwoofers and the physical isolation of power supplies from sensitive circuitry within distinct enclosure modules, particularly pronounced within our HiFi division. Functions like bass management, while vital, are also housed in dedicated, isolated units in our HiFi systems, ensuring that each part of the audio chain operates in its purest possible state, free from internal compromises.
How We Work
We do everything in-house from our facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our capabilities include:
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Comsol, Fine, and mechanical modeling software
Custom motor machining, voice coil winding, carbon fiber cone molding
Enclosure casting, CNC milling and routing, and forged carbon manufacturing
Constrained-layer damping design, advanced electronics integration, and validation
State-of-the-art testing using a Klippel scanner and other industry-leading equipment
We don’t just design. We fabricate, measure, refine, and listen.
